Project Lifesaver

The Webster county Sheriffs Rangers conduct a program for the counties at risk for wandering population.

This program is offered with a minimal monthly charge of around $10.00 a month for replacement batteries. Every month these batteries are changed and transmitters are checked by volunteers.

This program is an excellent preventive measure that allows for a quick recovery of your loved one in the case they go missing.

National Project Lifesaver Information

Project Lifesaver Protects Wandering Patients and Gives Peace of Mind to Families, Caregivers and Communities.

Established in 1999 by the Chesapeake, Virginia Sheriff’s Office and the 43rd Virginia Search and Rescue Company with teams operating in 28 states and Canada.

Project Lifesaver is the reliable rapid-response partnership with law enforcement aiding victims and families suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders such as Down syndrome and Autism.

The local Project Lifesaver is organized by a board of volunteers providing a needed service to help protect those who can't protect themselves. The radio technology along with trained searchers can cut the search time down from hours to minutes, and in bad weather each minute is precious.
